cor blimey that country house one works so well! I thought it would be hard for all of us to get this right as it was more pictoral and not as abtract as the others but it works the best!
I agree. Leslie's cottage is the closest to a true exquisite corpse. By the time it reached me it was time to add the actual cottage. I agonized over what kind of cottage and how to do it. After much deliberation and canvassing fellow guild members for their opinions, I decided that an English cottage with thatched roof was what I wanted to do. Once decided, the biggest challenge was to get the windows right. Several ideas were tried before I managed to get them done to my satisfaction. The roof took a lot of hours and aching left thumb and index finger. lol All of the landscaping in the immediate vacinity of the house was done with a babylock embellisher then embroidered on top. I was pretty pleased with the soft look I'd achieved when I'd finished. Although I was really stymied by this one initially, I enjoyed doing it once I got going. Thanks for a great challenge Leslie.
