Above is the back, after working. I "flipped" the photo in my PS to show you the shapes. Obviously the front is reversed to the back in orientation, but i forgot to take a shot of it before working--this gives you the basic shape outlines and colours of the background.
I painted the main area in copper, accented a bit with metallic blue, then stalled. During the working of these pieces, i had no working machines, so wondered what to do next! I ended up digging through my "Components Box", finding scraps from a previous Hoodoo project: strata layered torn strips of fabric and yarns invisibly stitched and some cut chunks of painted tea bag paper. Perfect! (Never throw out the beautiful teenies, no matter how small!)

I painted the background with some DynaFlo to make it look more watery, which also left the print on the base fabric to show through. The long strip reminds me of an oar, so i "splashed" the beads as well to add to the feeling.
Though i thought i had worked at the bottom, i guess i hadn't----my Viking boat works just as well as a bird head :}
This round of the EC has moved so fast and smoothly with a wonderfully talented and enthusiastic group of players!
