I have to confess I was not expecting this round to be much to speak about. I thought that the proportion issue might just make it fairly peculiar. With my apologies to our fearless leader, Arlee, was I ever wrong!
My piece arrived today and it is spectacular. The work that went into it is so good and extremely well done.
My choice for the head was three fish heads done in tyvek, stitching and paint....from there I didn't care what anyone did.
Below my head is Anne Marie's spectacular neck. She carried the ball from what she could see so well that it looks like a continuation of my fish heads.
After that it went to Lee. Lee, you must have spent an inordinate amount of time on the arms and torso. My husband can tell you I was struck with wonder at the beauty of what you've done. You can't see the beauty of the stitching done on the arms and torso. I may try to take another photo tomorrow and see if I can get that to show up better.
It then went on to Trish whose simplicity of hips and upper legs fits perfectly with the ornateness of Lee's torso. Very nice
On to Margarita whose jester legs and pointed shoes are wonderful and echo back to my fish heads.
I have to say I'm actually very happy with this piece and think I'll hang it in the family room.

Wow...this came out beautifully! It's going to be so much fun to see each as they're unveiled.
